Lead Time and Appt Duration

Lead time refers to the waiting period before a patient can schedule an appointment at the clinic.

For example, if a patient is scheduling an appointment on Monday, 1st January for a pneumococcal vaccination with a lead time of 48 hours, the earliest available date the patient will see is Wednesday, 3rd January, provided a slot is available.

Appointment duration refers to the duration of each appointment.

For example, if a clinic designates a Healthier SG appointment as 45 minutes, a patient scheduling an appointment will only be able to see available slots with intervals of 45 minutes.

Likewise, if vaccination appointments are designated to last 10 minutes each, patients will only encounter available slots with intervals of 10 minutes.

To avoid overwhelming the clinic with appointments, each time slot will cater to only one patient.

<aside> 💡 Patients can only book appointments for offerings listed on https://book.health.gov.sg up to 30 days in advance.

Clinic staff can book appointments for patients with no limitations on the date of the appointment.
